Who We Are

Horizon Homeschoolers is a Christian support group in the northeast Tarrant and southern Denton County portions of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Our small groups meet regularly for play and support. We have NO statements of faith to sign and NO dues. You only pay for activity costs as they come along. If you'd like to organize a new activity, speak up and jump in. If there's enough interest, we'll do it.

Each Christian homeschooling family is unique. We seek to accept and support our differences in beliefs, ways of worship, methods of schooling, and busy schedules. We focus on building friendships. We leave the rest to the family.

We understand that no two homeschooling families are alike. Each family does things their own way—a way that works for them. That is the beauty of homeschooling and we want to support that.

We understand that each family has its own schedule and activities that work for them. We do not wish to complicate our lives with more meetings or activities than we have time for.

We understand that each Christian family differs somewhat in their beliefs and ways of worshipping our Lord. We seek to accept these differences.

What We do

We have many activities going on. You may view a complete list on our activities page. Others you can learn about after joining our email list (see How to join below). Our main activity that can involve everyone is Park Day. There are older kids and teens who don't like the playground anymore, but enjoy the social interaction with each other so they have other activities going on. The moms and younger children hang out in the playground area. We meet at a different park each season on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until we've all gone home (sometimes 3 or 4pm). Come and go as you have time. Some come earlier and some come later. Just do what works for your family! Alternate plans for rainy days are discussed on our email list on Friday mornings.

See Park Days for more park information.
