Park Days

Horizon Homeschoolers meet at Parr Park in the fall and spring when the PE classes are there and the weather's nice! The first class is at 11:00 and the last at 1:00, so you'll find homeschoolers there between 11:00 and 2:00. Bring a lunch and come hang out with us! In the winter and summer months, contact your subgroup to find out where they're meeting, or watch the list to see if anyone is going to a park.

The mapquest map is accurate, but the directions are misleading. From hwy 121 take Hall-Johnson west to Parr Lane. Go north on Parr Lane. When the road curves sharply to the right, the park entrance is on your left.

This park has both sun and shade so don't worry about the weather! There's a wide open playground for the younger kids and a trail for anyone who wants to get close to nature or get some exercise.

Activities for older kids: hiking, biking, roller blading, fishing, baseball, and a field for games such as tag, soccer, capture-the-flag, etc.
